The SavageArtGallery is delighted to announce the arrival our new Gallery Manager and Curator, Carrie Wilson. Ms. Wilson received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (Fine Art/Art History) from Western State College, Gunnison Colorado.  The new Curator will continue the Savage Art Gallery's supports and developement of local art through its Tulsa Working Artists Coalition, its exclusive exhibition of local artists and its hands on workshops.  The artwork of Carrie Wilson will be represented and shown at the gallery. Ms. Wilson has been holding Art in the Dark workshops for the past three years.

The gallery displays, represents and sells local artists’ work and has quarterly exhibitions. As artist in residence, Ms. Wilson will be conducting “Art in the Dark” women’s paint workshops once a month. Participants will be given an introduction to technique, color and symbolism.  The workshops encourage a non-judgmental and no intimidation approach to art… simply a fun, creative outlet. Participants are encouraged to let go of expectations and to trust their personal expression to unfold on canvas. Ms. Wilson stated that “the workshops are not painting lessons, rather a creative outlet to inspire and bring out the artist in all”.  The workshops are geared for women who have never picked up a paint brush. The works created will be collectively exhibited at the gallery (some offered for sale).
